I recently acquired a record player along with a collection of vintage records for my space. Am I a hardcore vinyl collector? No. Am I completely obsessed with the warm, vintage vinyl aesthetic? Very much so, yes. Here is a quick guide on how I styled a cute audio setup in my living room to elevate my space and give it that warm, vintage feel.
How it Looks
Products & Where to Buy
- Record Player Console: Walnut Sideboard Cabinet with Sliding Tambour Doors (Walmart)
- Turntable: Retro Bluetooth Turntable with Built-in Speakers (Amazon)
- Glass Mushroom Lamp: Accent lamp bought at Ross (Similar option: Simons Portable Confetti Glass Mushroom Lamp)
- Ambient Lighting: IKEA MARKFROST Table lamp
- Decorative Figurine: Abstract thinker sculpture bought on SHEIN (Similar option: Amazon Ceramic Thinker Statue Decor)
Do I Listen to Records Now?
Yes! Of courseeeee. I scored a bulk lot of records on Facebook Marketplace, and they came in surprisingly great condition.
From the albums I’ve played so far, the original owner must have really been into upbeat, fun music. My favorite so far is by the King himself—Elvis Presley: Les 40 Plus Grands Succès. I love putting it on in the background while cooking. My only complaint? I keep forgetting I have to flip the vinyl over every few tracks! But hey, that’s all part of the vintage charm.
