I’ve previously shared some useful tips on scheduling with Reminder, as well as some alternative applications that can help with scheduling tasks. I also gave a step by step guide on scheduling with Reminder.

Future-Proof Your Tasks

You Can Save Your Tasks for Thousands of Years

This is one of my favourite features of the Reminder app. I scrolled up the years and was able to reach the year 4000 🤯. I probably won’t be alive then, but it’s good to know that I can schedule a task that far in the future. The best part is that this information gets backed up in most cases, so reminders are not limited to the state of your current phone.

Never Lose Track of Your Progress

You Can Easily View Completed Tasks

Most task scheduling apps allow you to view or hide your completed tasks. This is great for people who want to know what’s been completed or how much progress they’ve made.

Stay Organized with Ease

Multiple Ways to Organize Reminders

There are so many ways to organize your tasks. And this can be tailored to each individual. You could sort by date or priority. You could even choose what order to view the tasks in; Earliest first or Latest first. Check out our post on How to Schedule Tasks on the Reminders App. We guide you through every step of using the Reminders app for increased efficiency.

Never Forget a Task Again

Recurring Reminders Can Help You Stay on Top of Your Schedule

Is there a task you have to do everyday? Or a task you have to do biweekly? Monthly? Or even yearly? The Reminders app has got you covered! You don’t need to continuously enter a task, if it occurs at the same time every day, month, or year. You could just note the task and set Repeat to whatever you want. This could be Daily, Weekdays, Biweekly, Every 3 Months, etc. And when you’re finished with the task, you just need to complete it and the task automatically gets rescheduled for whenever it’s due next. You could also select a time to end the recurring reminders.

Simplify Your Life with Customized Lists

Separate Lists Can Streamline Your To-Do’s

You can have a separate list for tasks which helps with separation of concerns. There’s no need to have unrelated reminders in the same list. “Clip nails” and “Send updated project procedure” should definitely be on different lists.

Boost Your Productivity

Location-Based Reminders, Shared Lists, and Priority Settings

You could also add location to tasks and get notified when you’re arriving or leaving a specific location. It’s also possible to share your lists and hopefully share the responsibility as well. Priority assignment is also a great feature. Tasks can be prioritized and there are different levels of priority. More on this; How to Schedule Tasks on the Reminders App.
