How I Got Into K-Drama

There are many ways to get into K-Drama. Patience is the common theme I hear from friends who started watching and are now invested. This short story will explain how I got into it.

A few months after COVID-19 struck, I started running out of things to watch. I mentioned this to a friend, who recommended a new show to me called “Vagabond.” She said it was a Korean drama, but it wasn’t as cheesy or overly dramatic as some of the other ones she had watched. This made it a good first drama for me. I reluctantly agreed to try it, and that ended up being my gateway to watching over a hundred Korean dramas in just over a year.

As someone who enjoys romance and is a fan of quirky storylines, I can’t explain the joy of discovering a whole genre dedicated to love, passion, culture, heartbreak, enlightenment, and just the unconventional.

Vagabond can be watched on Netflix.
